Jamaican dancehall star Shenseea is set for another defining moment on the global stage after being added to the performance line-up for the 30th anniversary of the MOBO Awards. The ceremony, scheduled for March 26 at Co‑op Live in Manchester, will see the two-time MOBO winner sharing the space with global icons Pharrell Williams and hip hop pioneer Slick Rick as the landmark event celebrates three decades of Black music excellence.

The expanded line-up adds major star power to the milestone show. Pharrell Williams will receive the MOBO Global Songwriter Award in recognition of his decades-long influence on international music, while Slick Rick will be honoured with the MOBO Lifetime Achievement Award. The legendary storyteller is also expected to deliver a special collaborative performance with British singer Estelle during the ceremony.

For Shenseea, the performance arrives as she chases yet another career milestone. The Jamaican superstar enters the 2026 awards with her fifth career nomination and remains the most-nominated Jamaican female artiste in the ceremony’s history. She is once again in contention for Best Caribbean Music Act, competing against a strong field that includes Lila Iké, Masicka, Vybz Kartel and Trinidadian star Yung Bredda. A win would mark her third MOBO trophy and further extend her legacy within the prestigious awards.

Founded by Kanya King, the ceremony continues to spotlight both pioneers and rising stars shaping global Black music culture. Hosted by rapper Eve and comedian Eddie Kadi, the anniversary edition will stream live through the Amazon Music UK channel on Twitch, bringing one of Black music’s most influential celebrations to a global audience.

With a historic nomination streak, a major performance slot, and the Shenyeng Army rallying behind her, all eyes will be on whether Shenseea can turn the MOBO Awards’ 30th anniversary into yet another milestone moment for dancehall on the world stage.
