21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Christmas Eve Crash in Spanish Lookout

A 21-year-old man lost his life in a traffic incident on Christmas Eve, in the Spanish Lookout community. Police reported that just after 10pm officers responded to a crash along Center Road, approximately 300 yards from Universal Hardware. At the scene, officers found the body of Hispanic male, later identified as Emyl Castillo Choma, lying motionless under a white sheet about 25 feet off the roadway. A black Lifan brand motorcycle with extensive front-end damage was found nearby. Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith said that initial investigation indicates that Choma might have lost control of the motorcycle leading to the fatal crash.

Stacy Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Police: “Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident which resulted in the death of 21-year-old Emil Choma. The investigation commenced on 24 December 2025 at approximately 10 o’clock p.m. when police were advised that there was a traffic accident near Universal Hardware in Spanish Lookout Community. The officers responded where they observed the unresponsive body of Choma and eight feet away from him an extensively damaged Lifan motorcycle. What the investigators have gathered so far is that Choma was driving in Spanish Lookout towards the direction of Duck Run Village when he lost control of the cycle and collided into a fence which resulted in his injury and untimely demise. The body of Choma now awaits a post-mortem examination.”

The scene of the crash was processed by a Scenes of Crime technician, and a sketch plan was drawn. Choma’s body was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital morgue, while the damaged motorcycle was taken to the Spanish Lookout Police Sub-Station. Police say the investigation into this matter is ongoing.
