On Sunday, May 7th, a group of 21 members of staff from 24-7 Intouch came with high spirits as they prepared to go the distance for a good cause: raising scholarship funds for students in Western Jamaica.

The 6am walk/run race included a fun warm-up session while participants jammed to some reggae, soca, and dancehall music!

Intouchers were were given assorted fruits, water, and sports drinks during the event. The route started from Gloucester Avenue also known as the infamous “Hip Strip” where tourists typically flock and continued through to the freeport area where participants can enjoy the scenic views of what Montego Bay has to offer.

After crossing the finish line, not only did they get a sense of relief, but each runner or walker received a medal and certificate as a gesture of gratitude from the organizers.

The coveted Mobay City Run returned to Montego Bay after its short hiatus caused by the recent pandemic. It is a much-anticipated event hosted by the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce that sees thousands of participants annually. This year was no different despite its 3-year break.
