24 Hours To Go For Racers Grand Prix

It’s the eve of the sixth Racers Grand Prix at the National Stadium and all the big names are in the island for the World Continental Tour Silver starting at 7 pm.

The meet will feature a super 100 metre clash between reigning World champion Noah Lyles in a rematch of his Budapest showdown with Zharnel Hughes and Oblique Seville and Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala.

Several other mega clashes are on the card including the men’s sprint hurdle match-up between Olympic champion Hansle Parchment and the Commonwealth Games Champion Rasheed Broadbell.

Olympic bronze medallist Megan Tapper will come face-to-face with indoor 60 metre hurdles world record holder Devyne Charlton and young star Ackera Nugent.

National sensation Jaydon Hibbert and Will Clay of the USA will battle in the men’s triple jump.

Alana Reid and newly minted World Indoor champion Julien Alfred will clash over 100m while the women’s 400m will feature defending champion Cherokee Young and Stephanie Ann McPherson.

The world 400m champion Antonio Watson and 400m hurdles junior World Record holder Roshawn Clarke will also be in action.

Nationwide 90fm will have live coverage of the meet starting with a special edition of Sports Nation Live at 5.10 from the National Stadium.
