An Operation Steadfast exercise in the Central Division led to the arrest of 29 persons and the seizure of a firearm and a quantity of cannabis.
The operation was conducted between Friday and Saturday, and involved officers of the Central Division Task Force, Inter-Agency Task Force, Canine Branch, Highway Patrol Road Policing Task Force, Municipal Police, Licensing Officers, and Traffic Wardens.
Four persons were arrested for robbery with violence, one for housebreaking and larceny, one for homicide enquiries, 16 for outstanding warrants, one for possession of cocaine, one for larceny enquiries, and five for driving without a valid driver’s permit.
Officers also seized one Glock pistol loaded with a magazine containing 15 rounds of ammunition, a quantity of cannabis, and one camouflage jacket.
