38th Annual Sunshine Awards Will Be Staged in St. Maarten

The SUNSHINE Awards Organization announced that the internationally acclaimed SUNSHINE Awards, one of the Caribbean’s most respected celebrations of excellence and achievement, will be staged in St. Maarten this year. 

The decision to stage the 38th Annual SUNSHINE Awards in St. Maarten follows a special invitation extended by the St. Maarten Friendship Association. After careful consideration, including a visit to the island and a series of productive meetings with government officials, business executives, tourism representatives, and community leaders, SUNSHINE Awards Founder and Chairman, Gil Figaro, accepted the invitation to stage this prestigious event to St. Maarten. 

 Mr. Figaro said, “from the moment I arrived in St. Maarten, I was deeply impressed by the warmth of its people, the strength of its community spirit, and the pride its citizens have in their island. My meetings with government officials, business leaders, and community representatives confirmed what I had already sensed—that St. Maarten is a place of vision, resilience, and extraordinary potential. It is therefore both an honor and a privilege to bring the 38th Annual SUNSHINE Awards to this beautiful island and to celebrate the individuals and organizations whose contributions continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others.”

For nearly four decades, the SUNSHINE Awards Organization has recognized and celebrated individuals, organizations, and institutions whose outstanding contributions have enriched their communities, inspired positive change, and advanced cultural, educational, humanitarian, and economic development throughout the Caribbean and the global community. The awards program has become a symbol of excellence, service, leadership, culture, and achievement throughout the Caribbean and its Diaspora.
