70-Year-old Man awaits sentencing for raping a little boy

Tonight 70-year-old Henry Hulse has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison to await sentencing after he was found guilty of raping an 11-year-old boy. This afternoon at around 2:00, Hulse appeared before Justice Nigel Pilgrim in the High Court, where he received the verdict after the trial which started on July 7, 2025.

At the start of the trial, the 11-year-old victim, who testified in camera, recollected the horrific encounter where Hulse invited him into the abandoned bus where he was staying and forced him to perform oral sex. The little boy’s brother, who was looking for him at the time, found him in the bus with the 70-year-old and witnessed the horrendous act.

Hulse was represented by Attorney Norman Moore while the Crown was represented by Crown Counsel, Shanell Fernandez of the DPP’s office. The devastating rape occurred in Belize on June 10, 2024. Hulse will be sentenced on December 5, 2025.
