The Lawman Lynch Foundation Inc. (LLF) presents the sixth (6th) staging of MUSIC for LIFE” (MFL), the LLF’s annual benefit concert and Awards show geared at raising financial resources to support child, youth and community development initiatives both in Jamaica and the United States. “MUSIC for LIFE” and the “LLF Foundation Awards” will be held at the Maggie Walker Auditorium in Brooklyn NYC on Saturday May 13, 2023. Gates will open at 5:00pm, pre show activities start at 6:00pm and the main event will commence promptly at 7:00pm.

This year’s staging is particularly significant, as the LLF celebrates its fifteenth (15th) year as an established movement. To celebrate such a milestone, the conferring of fifteen LLF Foundation Awards to individuals who have been making significant contributions to youth and community development locally and internationally will be a main feature at MFL.

Proceeds from this year’s “MUSIC for LIFE” and Foundation Awards will provide scholarships and education grants to needy Jamaican students and support back-to-school initiatives led by parenting and community-based groups in select marginalized communities.

In previous years, “MUSIC for LIFE” has featured the likes of Nadine Surtherland, Etana, Tarrus Riley, Ryan Mark, Omari, D’Angel and others. The 2023 staging of “MUSIC for LIFE” will highlight performances by Chino McGregor, Keisha Martin, DJ Cheem, Future Fambo, Chris Thomas the CEO, Schen, Nello Vibes and the PyroTech Dancers; “GenaRoots Band” will provide support as the backing band throughout the night. The showcase’s proceedings will be guided by Shirley Samuels and Karren Dunkley.
