Access giving free loans, discounts as part of anniversary celebrations

Access Financial Services Limited, as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, will be selecting 300 customers who will receive either discounts on interest or get their loans interest-free.

Its business customers typically fall within the micro, small and medium enterprise or MSME sector.

“We have the most loyal customers in Jamaica, and I say that without fear of contradiction. We have customers that have been with us almost from the beginning who are still customers today,” said Access Financial CEO Hugh Campbell in a company release.

Founded by Marcus James, Access Financial became the first company to list on the junior stock exchange, when it went operational in 2009. It’s one of the largest microlenders in Jamaica with a loan portfolio of more than $6 billion up to December 2024.

Its clientele includes micro and small businesses as well as individuals.

Under the loan promotion, 50 customers will get their loans interest-free, and another 250 customers will get a 25 per cent discount on interest, Campbell said.

The promotion, which is open to existing and new customers, will run to the end of September.
