Established record label Active Music is banking on fast-rising singjay Kid Chop becoming the next big thing in dancehall. Because the label was instrumental in the early stage of the careers of artists such as Jahshii, Malie Donn, and Nation Boss, it is not hard to believe that the entity’s CEO, Christopher Coombs, could be on to something.

“I just have an ear for talent. I can easily identify an artist who has the attributes of a star, and I know exactly how to unlock that potential. Kid Chop has what it takes to become a star in dancehall and as such, me ago give him di strength yuh zimmie. A nuff yute me help who fi know done know dat already,” stated Coombs.
Kid Chop, who recently released a buzzing single on the Active Music imprint entitled “Self Belief,” says he has exactly.

“I know I am ready, and I know it is just a matter of time before the world knows me. I am just going through the stages and working on being the best version of myself I can be. I want to become a column in dancehall. Right now self belief a rip up di streets suh me just a gwaan push tuh zimmie” Kid Chop stated.
Active Music has already scored a plethora of hits in dancehall, including Crook by Malie, Cream of the Crop by Jahshii, and Learning Process by Nation Boss. The Grants Pen-based producer says Kid Chop’s single entitled “Self Belief” is what he is focusing on at present.
“Me a give Kid Chop him run, and then me focus on some of my new juggling dem,” stated Coombs.
