Agriculture Officials Investigate Pest and Disease Threats to Belize Soursop Farms

Agriculture officials are working to better understand and address pest and disease challenges affecting soursop production in Belize. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries, in collaboration with the Pesticides Control Board and the Belize Agricultural Health Authority, recently visited two soursop farms in the Cayo District to collect samples for identification and diagnosis. The samples collected will help experts determine the types of pests or diseases affecting the crop and support the development of effective management strategies for farmers.
