Aidonia has officially crossed a long-awaited global milestone. The 4th Genna head honcho has secured his first-ever Billboard entry with Boom Body, the Shaggy and Akon-assisted single that debuted at No. 36 on the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay chart this week. The achievement marks a pivotal moment in the dancehall star’s international ascent and arrives just as he’s confirmed for his City Splash debut in London, signalling a major resurgence following his long-awaited return to the UK.

Released via a powerhouse partnership between VP Records and Shaggy’s Ranch Entertainment, Boom Body serves as the latest preview from Shaggy’s forthcoming studio album Lottery. The track also extends Shaggy’s dominance on the chart, earning him his 12th Rhythmic Airplay entry, while handing Aidonia a career-defining first. The single follows Shaggy’s 2025 chart appearance with Til a Mawnin featuring Sting, which peaked at No. 35, further underscoring the Jamaican icon’s enduring crossover appeal.

Beyond the charts, Boom Body has been gaining serious digital traction. The Miami–Kingston-shot music video has already surged past 4.1 million YouTube views, with fans drawn to its slick visuals and global-ready sound. Produced by Shaggy alongside Costantine “Costi Fortzaa” Ionita, the collaboration blends Shaggy’s charismatic flow, Akon’s melodic polish and Aidonia’s razor-sharp dancehall delivery, creating a track that feels both nostalgic and unmistakably current.

Meanwhile, Aidonia’s momentum is set to carry straight onto the live stage. City Splash has confirmed the deejay as part of its second wave of performers for the 2026 edition, taking place at Brockwell Park, London on 25 May. Sharing billing with Elephant Man, Aidonia will celebrate two decades of hits at what is billed as the world’s largest one-day Caribbean and African music festival. With Billboard recognition now secured and a major London return locked in, all signs point to Aidonia entering a powerful new chapter on the global dancehall stage.
