The National Institute of Culture and History, NICH, has announced the appointment of Albert Vaughan as the organization’s new President. In a brief statement, the institute says Vaughan brings extensive experience in leadership, cultural advocacy, and public service, and his appointment signals a renewed commitment to strengthening the management, promotion, and safeguarding of Belize’s cultural and historical heritage. Vaughan is no stranger to public administration. He previously served as an elected member of the Belize City Council and also held the post of City Administrator, where he was involved in municipal governance and community development initiatives. NICH says it looks forward to his stewardship as the institute continues working with communities across the country to advance and preserve Belize’s diverse cultural identity.
