The All-Grace Headley selection defeated the Grace Shield XI by five wickets in their 50 over clash under lights at Sabina Park on Tuesday.
The Grace Shield team was dismissed for 173 in 43.1 overs. In reply, the All-Headley team raced to 174 for 5 thanks to Odane Binns, 43, Tyson Gordon, 38 not out, and Dujani West, 34 not out.
The teams are to meet again in a T20 encounter Wednesday evening at 6.
They’re playing for the Don Wehby Trophy in recognition of the former head of the GraceKennedy Group’s contribution to schoolboy cricket in Jamaica.
