Former age-group standout swimmer, Zaneta Alvaranga, made a winning start to her return to competitive swimming in Jamaica by taking the 19-24 women’s 600-metres title at the Rainforest Blue Marlin Open Water Swim meet, on Sunday.
She won in 12 minutes.
Other winners include Parrissa Samuels in the 11-14 girl’s category, Sarah Oban took the 36-46 female category and Catherine Chin took the title in the 60-and over category.
On the male side, Dujon Ferguson won the 15-18 boys’ category, the 25-35 male title went to Anthony Clinton and Omar Munroe won the men’s title in the 36-46 category.
