Broadcast assistant for the Toronto Raptors, Mike Roach, admits he was surprised by the Dallas Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers.
Doncic was part of a three-way deal involving Lakers’ Anthony Davis and Max Christie.
Roach believes the Lakers came out the winners in this trade.
He says the move sends a clear message that the front office is prioritising future championship windows over immediate success.
