Rising dancehall artiste Armanii has released his debut album, THE IMPACT, a 15-track set that affirms his position as one of the genre’s most exciting new voices. Dropped via UnitedMasters, the project blends modern dancehall energy with R&B warmth and hip-hop edge, reflecting both Armanii’s roots and his global ambitions.
The album arrives on the heels of a noteworthy year for the artiste and features a good supporting cast, including Jada Kingdom, Malie Donn and New York rapper Bay Swag. Fan-favourite singles such as “U A Gwan,” “B.B.B. (Snapchat)” and “Champion” anchor the project, which pulls inspiration from classic Jamaican sounds while embracing contemporary production. The collaborations underline Armanii’s cross-genre reach and his intent to bridge Caribbean and international audiences.
“This album embodies everything that makes me who I am,” Armanii said. “It’s about where I come from, the people who raised me, and everything I’ve been through. I wanted to make music that feels real, that celebrates Jamaica and our culture in its rawest form, while still connecting globally.” That authenticity is felt early on, particularly on the opening track “Champion,” a motivational anthem centred on perseverance and self-belief. The song was accompanied by a video highlighting Armanii’s role in rebuilding a Jamaican home after Hurricane Melissa, adding emotional depth to the release.
Elsewhere, “Siq” experiments with trap-inspired textures, while “Lose Your Love” leans heavily into traditional dancehall, complete with horns, guitar riffs and steel drums that nod to his roots. The album closes with “Impact,” a genre-blending finale that fuses dancehall, R&B and old-school rap storytelling. With industry accolades already stacking up — including being named Best Impact Dancehall Artist at the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards — THE IMPACT feels less like an introduction and more like a statement. For Armanii, this debut isn’t just a milestone; it’s the foundation of what’s clearly a global journey ahead.
