It was a sigh of relief for the Arnett Gardens contingent at the end of regulated time as they survived a scare in the round of 16 of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Shield against Racing Club Aruba.
Arnett ran out 2-1 winners against their Aruban opponents but had to fight to the end after conceding an early goal in the opening minutes of play following a blunder from their goalkeeper.
Arnett scored the equaliser on the stroke of half time through Keneldo Brown before substitute Rushane Thompson scored the all-important goal in the closing minutes of the game.
Despite their waves of attack and constant pressure, the Junglists were unlucky throughout the game with two of their goals in the second half being ruled offside.
They advance to the quarterfinals where they will play CRKSV Jong Holland of Curacao on Tuesday.
