Reggae star Protoje has added another milestone to his career, with his latest project Art of Acceptance debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.
The chart entry marks Protoje’s sixth appearance on the Billboard Reggae Albums ranking, reinforcing his consistency as one of Jamaica’s leading contemporary voices in the genre.
His Billboard journey began in 2013 with The 8 Year Affair, which peaked at No. 5. He reached the summit two years later with Ancient Future, his first No. 1 album, followed by A Matter of Time in 2018, which also claimed the top spot, albeit for one week.
Subsequent releases continued to chart strongly, including In Search of Lost Time (No. 6 in 2020) and Third Time’s The Charm (No. 8 in 2022).
The latest debut also highlights a strong start to 2026 for Jamaican reggae on the Billboard charts. Earlier this year, Alkaline reached a No. 9 peak with his album NPT, making Protoje the second Jamaican act this year to break into the top 10.
With Art of Acceptance, Protoje continues to blend introspective lyricism with modern reggae production, maintaining his reputation as an artist who evolves while staying rooted in the genre’s core message.
The latest chart success underscores not only his staying power but also the continued global appetite for contemporary Jamaican music.
