ASJA Girls’ College San Fernando and St Joseph’s Convent Port-of-Spain were the standout teams as the Secondary School’s Volleyball Under-15 Girls Group B competition produced a full slate of matches, Tuesday.

St Joseph’s Convent Port-of-Spain opened the day with a three-set win over St Joseph’s Convent St Joseph, rebounding after dropping the first set to claim victory 18-25, 25-15, 15-4.

ASJA Girls’ College San Fernando then cruised past El Dorado West Secondary with a dominant 25-6, 25-6 victory before returning to court to defeat St Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain 25-6, 25-10, handing them their first loss of the day.

St Joseph’s Convent St Joseph recovered well in their fourth match, beating El Dorado West Secondary 25-14, 25-12 to stay in contention.

ASJA continued their perfect run with another emphatic performance, defeating St Joseph’s Convent St Joseph 25-13, 25-7 to remain unbeaten in group play.

The day closed with St Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain securing a straight-sets win over El Dorado West Secondary 25-16, 25-20, giving them their second victory of the tournament.

By the end of play, ASJA Girls’ College San Fernando stood as the dominant force in Group B after three straight wins, while St Joseph’s Convent Port of Spain also enjoyed a strong day with two victories. St Joseph’s Convent St Joseph finished with one win, while El Dorado West Secondary endured a difficult outing without a victory.
