Assault Case Against Security Guard Dropped After Girlfriend Withdraws Complaint

A Security Guard is being accused of assaulting his girlfriend over the idea of her being unfaithful.  Roman Petzold, 37, of Peter Ashton Street, Belama Phase 2, Belize City is accused of common assault toward his girlfriend Sharraie Fitzgibbon 24.

Late yesterday evening, Petzold who was unrepresented, appeared before Magistrate, Mannon Dennison in Court #6 where he was read a single charge of common assault. Allegations are that on Sunday, September 20, 2025, while socializing at an Airbnb in the Vista Del Mar area, Ladyville Petzold intentionally and unlawfully committed aggravated assault upon Fitzgibbon.

Petzold pleaded not guilty to the charge, however his girlfriend requested no further court action against him and Magistrate Dennison who never had to comply…facilitated and struck out the matter.
