ATLANTA, Georgia (CMC):
THE ATLANTA Vibe have secured a key piece of their roster for the 2026 Major League Volleyball (MLV) season, re-signing Jamaican opposite hitter Aiko Jones after an impressive debut campaign in 2025.
Jones quickly became a standout performer in her first MLV season, finishing with a .362 kill percentage, demonstrating her offensive efficiency and power at the net.
Defensively, she proved just as valuable, averaging 0.44 blocks per set, nearly cracking the league’s top 10, while adding 98 digs over 72 sets.
Her all-around contributions, including 89 kills on the season, solidified her as a cornerstone for the Vibe’s success.
Team owner Colleen Craig emphasised the importance of retaining the former Louisville standout Jones.
“We’re thrilled to bring back key pieces of our roster. Aiko played a major role in our success last season, and re-signing her provides the foundation we need to continue building. Our focus remains the same: winning a championship and setting the standard for professional volleyball in the US,” she said.
As one of eight teams in MLV’s third season, the Atlanta Vibe continue to establish itself as a force in women’s professional sports.
The franchise, Atlanta’s second fully professional women’s sports team, is committed to elevating the game and inspiring the next generation of volleyball talent.
With Jones back in the fold, the Vibe are poised to make another championship push in 2026.
