ST JOHN’S, Antigua (CMC): All-rounder Justin Parris grabbed two awards, and Gadson Bowens captured another, as two-time champions Barbados took home the majority of individual awards in the recently concluded CWI Rising Stars Under-19 Men’s 50-over Championship. Parris, who scored a match-winning century and also grabbed five wickets in Barbados’ 116-run win over Jamaica in the final on Wednesday, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP). He ended the campaign with 196 runs and claimed 17 wickets to also take home the award for the most wickets.
