Barbados heads Caribbean surfing pack

SURF CITY, El Salvador (CMC): Barbados emerged as the Caribbean’s top performer at the 2026 Surf City El Salvador ISA World Junior Surfing Championship (WJSC), finishing 30th overall with 1,788 points as the event concluded at La Bocana this past weekend. The Bahamas were the next highest-placed Caribbean team, finishing 43rd with 538 points. Trinidad and Tobago followed in 49th with 303 points, while St Lucia ended 51st with 266 points. Jamaica rounded out the Caribbean contingent in 55th place with 173 points.
