The Trinidad and Tobago based franchise went down by nine wickets under the Duckworth/Lewis method to Barbados Royals in the first Eliminator at Providence on Tuesday night.
TKR batted first and posted 168 for 3 in 19.1 overs. Nicholas Pooran struck an unbeaten 91 and was supported by Jason Roy, 25, and Andre Russell, 20.
Rain then caused the Royals to be set a target of 60 off five overs. David Miller crashed an unbeaten 50 from 17 balls as the Royals raced to 64 for 1 in 4 overs and 2 balls.
