Barcelona Crowned Spanish League Champions

Barcelona won a 28th Spanish League title on Thursday after seeing off local rivals Espanyol 2-nil.

Star player Lamine Yamal scored a brilliant opener in the 53rd minute before laying on the assist as Fermin Lopez banged home the second with just seconds left in the game.

It was the third time Barcelona was winning La Liga at Espanyol’s RCBE Stadium.

The game, though, was paused for a short time in the first half as news broke of an incident outside.

A car drove into fans, with 13 people injured and four taken to hospital, but none were said to be in a serious condition.
