The Barbados Cricket Association, BCA, and the Guyana Cricket Board, GCB, have confirmed that they will be in attendance at the special board meeting of Cricket West Indies, on Sunday.
GCB President Bissoondyal Singh and BCA boss Conde Riley, said the boards have agreed to attend the CWI meeting to discuss the proposed resolutions to amend the Articles of Association despite their disappointment in the way in which the matter has been handled by CWI.
The GCB and the BCA refused to attend CWI meetings on several occasions in the last few years.
The last meeting was called on December 6 to discuss governance reform.
Both boards have also denied reports that they are against changes to the constitution.
The two boards have described CWI’s decision to publicly criticise them for not attending the last meeting as “disrespectful and “unprofessional” and said it did not follow the code of ethics.
Three weeks ago, Cricket West Indies President Dr. Kishore Shallow urged both Guyana and Barbados Cricket Boards to attend the meeting, as they are prepared to proceed with or without them.
