The Belize Defence Force is currently carrying out a nationwide recruitment exercise as it looks to strengthen its ranks with new personnel. Military officials say the process has reached the examination phase, which will take place this weekend. The BDF is hoping to recruit approximately one hundred and fifty men and women who meet the standards required to join the force. Commander of the Belize Defence Force, Brigadier General Anthony Velasquez, explained that the recruitment involves several stages designed to assess both the physical and mental readiness of applicants before they can be accepted for training.
After the exams, successful candidates will move on to additional screening and preparation before entering basic military training.
