BDF Launches Sandhurst Alumni Chapter in Historic Milestone

The Belize Defence Force is set to make history tomorrow with the official launch of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Alumni, Belize Chapter, a significant milestone aimed at recognizing decades of military excellence and leadership.  The ceremony is set to take place at the BDF Families Association Building, and will formally bring together officers, past and present, who have graduated from the prestigious Sandhurst Academy over the past forty-five years. The initiative seeks to officially induct these officers into a unified alumni body, celebrating their contributions to national service and leadership within the force.  According to the event programme, proceedings will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will feature a series of addresses from senior military officials and distinguished alumni, including reflections on leadership, the Sandhurst experience, and the role of the newly established Belize Chapter.  Highlights of the event will include presentations on the significance of Sandhurst training, remarks from command leadership, and a special lapel pin ceremony to formally recognize inducted members.  The launch underscores the BDF’s commitment to honoring the legacy of its officers while strengthening professional networks and leadership development within the organization. Officials say the alumni chapter will serve as a platform for mentorship, shared experience, and continued service to Belize.
