Jamaica’s Akera Nugent was a fourth place finisher at yesterday’s New Balance Indoor World Continental Gold Tour meet in Boston.
Nugent the national champion and record holder outdoors, sped to 7.92 seconds in the women’s 60m hurdles, finishing behind the Olympic champion Masai Russell who won in 7.80 seconds with Indoor world champion and record holder Devynne Charlton third in 7.85 seconds.
The other the Jamaican in action at the meet Olympic finalist Romaine Beckford was second in the men’s High Jump with 2.19m, the same heights as winner Vernon Turner of the USA and Luis Castro Rivera of Puerto Rico.
Noah Lyles won the men’s 60m in 6.52 seconds beating fellow American Terrence Jones 6.57 seconds.
World and Olympic champion Grant Holloway won the men’s 60m hurdles in 7.42 seconds.
