Belama Fire Leaves Belize City Man Homeless

A Belize City man is homeless after a fire destroyed the Belama residence where he had lived for the past five years.  Eugene Thompson told Love News that the fire occurred just one day after a court issued an order requiring him to stay away from the property for 15 days following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. Thompson said nothing was salvaged from the house and estimated his losses at approximately 45 thousand dollars.

Thompson said he now has nowhere to live and no family members he can turn to for assistance. He is appealing to the public for help as he attempts to recover from the loss.
