Belize Cancer Society Launches Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As October begins, the Belize Cancer Society is once again calling on Belizeans to unite in the fight against breast cancer. At sunrise on Thursday morning, supporters, survivors, healthcare professionals, and members of the public gathered at the Flag Monument in Belize City for the Society’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month flag-raising ceremony. The event served as a reminder that early detection, education, and community support remain among the strongest tools in reducing the impact of the disease. Reporter Paul Diaz has the story.
