The 74th edition of the Miss Universe pageant captivated millions last night as 120 contestants from around the world took the stage at Challenger Hall in Nonthaburi, Thailand. The competition began with an initial cut to the top 30 delegates, followed by a series of eliminations that narrowed the field to the top five finalists: Côte d’Ivoire, Venezuela, Thailand, the Philippines, and Mexico. After nearly three hours of dazzling performances, cultural displays, and graceful competition, Fátima Bosch of Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2025. Praveenar Singh of Thailand secured the position of first runner-up, while Stephany Abasali of Venezuela placed second runner-up.
Although she did not take home the crown, Belize’s very own Isabella Zabaneh once again cemented her status as one of the most admired contestants of this year’s pageant season. Her stunning national costume, an artistic tribute to the Keel-Billed Toucan, captured global attention during preliminaries, while her silver, diamond-studded evening gown paired with a soft blue mid-body veil earned praise from pageant analysts and viewers worldwide. At just 21 years old, Zabaneh elevated Belize’s presence on the global stage with her warmth, confidence, and poise. Her authentic charm resonated strongly with international audiences, making her one of the standout faces of the competition. Across Belize, social media erupted in celebration as Belizeans expressed overwhelming pride in Isabella’s performance. Many hailed her as “a national treasure” and “a true Belizean queen.” Adding to the national pride, it is significant to note that Isabella is the great-grand-niece of the Right Hon. George Cadle Price, Belize’s Father of the Nation, linking her achievement to an enduring legacy of Belizean excellence. Belizeans at home and abroad continue to extend heartfelt congratulations to Isabella Zabaneh for her remarkable journey and unforgettable representation on the Miss Universe stage./
