Belize City Administrator Albert Vaughan to Step Down October 31


The Belize City Council announced today that City Administrator Albert Vaughan will be leaving his position on October 31, 2025. According to a press release from the council, Vaughan’s departure is for “personal reasons.”  During his time as City Administrator, Vaughan was credited with strengthening the council’s operations and moving forward key initiatives that benefited city residents. The council, including the mayor, councilors, and staff, expressed their gratitude for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors.  The search for a new City Administrator will begin soon. The council stated that the position will be advertised in the coming days, and they will be looking for qualified individuals to apply.  The Belize City Council reaffirmed its commitment to serving the people of Belize City and noted it looks forward to continuing to build on the progress that has been made.
