Belize City Man Charged with Robbing Minor of Phone and Purse

A Belize City man has been charged with robbery after allegedly stealing a minor’s purse and cell phone. Twenty-six-year-old Ryan Harold Herbert appeared unrepresented in Magistrate’s Court yesterday, where he was formally charged with robbery by use of force. Allegations state that on Friday, June 6th, Herbert stole a red iPhone XR, a Coach purse, a gold chain, a Social Security Card, and a gold ring from a female minor on Simon Lamb Street. Herbert pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted bail of $1,500 with conditions, including a curfew from 8 PM to 6 AM, and prohibitions against contacting the victim or her family. Herbert’s next court date is set for July 30, 2025.
