Belize City Man Convicted for Unlicensed Firearm Possession

Kelvin Brian Willis, a resident of Saint Martin De Porres has started his first night of a three-plus-year sentence behind bars after it was handed down to him yesterday in Court number three for having an unlicensed firearm.

On Saturday, April 20, 2024, at around 9:52pm, PC number 1700, Reynaldo Bol, and PC Kirklin Flowers reported that while conducting an operation with other colleagues, PC Bol’s attention was drawn to a man of dark complexion who was standing on a North Front Street sidewalk, began to walk away after the police mobile was approaching him. PC Bol quickly followed Willis and identified himself as a law enforcement officer. During that time, Willis continued to evade Officer Bol by slipping under a fence. Officer Bol then noticed that Willis had what appeared to be a firearm in his hand, and Willis was later arrested.
