Belize City Mechanic Charged With Attempted Murder

A Belize City man has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing incident that left a laborer in critical condition. Earlier today, police formally arrested and charged Kenroy Locario, a 20-year-old mechanic, for Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm, and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. The charges stem from an incident that occurred early yesterday morning, just before four o’clock.  Police were called to Raccoon Street Extension where they found 34-year-old, Yuri Keith Escalante, bleeding profusely on the side of the road. Escalante, a laborer, was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), where he remains in critical condition.  The motive for the stabbing is still under investigation, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
