Belize Gains Five New Nonstop US Routes

Belize will gain five new seasonal air connections to the United States as BermudAir expands its winter schedule.  The airline has announced nonstop service to the Philip Goldson International Airport from Boston, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando-Sanford and St. Petersburg-Clearwater near Tampa. According to BermudAir, it will be the only airline offering nonstop service between Belize and each of those five airports during the scheduled period. Fort Lauderdale will be the first route to begin, with flights starting on October 26. The airline will initially operate three flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  The other four routes will begin in December. Boston service starts on December 19, followed by St. Petersburg-Clearwater on December 20 and Raleigh-Durham and Orlando-Sanford on December 21. The seasonal flights will continue through late April or early May 2027.  One-way introductory fares reportedly start as low as 264 US dollars from Fort Lauderdale.  The Florida services will also provide more travel options for tourists and Belizeans living in or visiting that state.  BermudAir’s Belize expansion forms part of a wider winter schedule that includes new connections involving Turks and Caicos, Anguilla, Bermuda and Guatemala City.  The five new routes are expected to bring additional visitors during Belize’s busiest tourism months, benefiting hotels, tour operators, restaurants, taxi operators and other businesses that depend on visitor arrivals.
