Belize Hotel Association Launches Insurance Plan for Hospitality Workers

The Belize Hotel Association is introducing a new benefit of greater support and protection for workers in the hospitality industry. Through a partnership with insurance provider Sagicor, the association has launched a Group Life and Medical Plan, giving eligible BHA member businesses access to health and life insurance options for their employees at special association rates. The initiative is designed to help hospitality employers provide additional benefits to their teams, while giving employees and their families greater financial security when it comes to medical needs and unexpected situations. President of the Belize Hotel Association, Reynaldo Malik, says the plan is part of the association’s continued efforts to bring more value to its members and strengthen the benefits available to those working in Belize’s tourism sector.

The new plan includes options for medical coverage, life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment benefits. BHA says the program is available to businesses of different sizes, allowing more members of the hospitality community to explore coverage opportunities
