Belize Insurers Launch Claims Vault to Combat Fraud

Insurance companies in Belize will soon be able to compare notes on claims made by their customers, following the launch of a new digital networking platform called Claims Vault.

The system was officially introduced today by the Organization of Insurance Companies of Belize, ORNCO, in partnership with EPIC Technologies. It is designed to give participating insurers a centralized and secure space to manage and share claims information.  The idea is to help companies identify patterns, make better-informed decisions and reduce the risk of fraudulent claims moving through the system. By allowing insurers to access more complete claims histories, ORNCO says the platform should also improve the speed and quality of service provided to policyholders.  ORNCO President Norman Moore says the Claims Vault represents an important step for the local insurance industry, particularly as companies work to strengthen data-sharing and fraud prevention measures.

Moore says the platform is also expected to bring greater transparency and efficiency to the claims process, while helping to build a stronger and more resilient insurance sector in Belize
