Belize’s Kriol Dictionary has made its way on to the Google Play Store, and it is completely free to download. As of today, the App is only available on Android Devices, but the Kriol Council says that they are working to bring the application to Apple’s App Store in the near future. While built to provide the definition of Kriol words, the app also translates English words to its Kriol counterpart, along with Kriol and English sample sentences. Today, Andrea Rodriguez from the Belize Kriol Council spoke about the launch of the app.
The app was made possible through SIL Dictionary and Lexicography Services Unit. The Belize Kriol Dictionary is also available for free online on the Ministry of Education’s 501Academy platform where it can be downloaded. To download the app, you can simply type in Belize Kriol Dictionary in the Google Play Store.
