Belize Marks 228th Anniversary of Battle of St. George’s Caye

Tomorrow, Belize commemorates one of the most defining moments in its history as the nation observes St. George’s Caye Day, marking the 228th anniversary of the Battle of St. George’s Caye. The public and bank holiday honours the courage and determination of the settlers and enslaved Africans who united to defend the settlement against Spanish forces on September 10, 1798.  Reporter Paul Diaz has more in the following report.
