Belizean volleyball is continuing to make its presence felt on the regional stage, with the country’s national teams delivering strong performances in international competition. The Under-23 Men’s National Volleyball Team is currently representing Belize at a tournament in Costa Rica, where the team secured an impressive victory in its opening match against the host country. The win comes after months of preparation, training, and dedication from the players and coaching staff, who have been working to strengthen the team ahead of the competition. For the athletes like Ernest broaster and Michael Jenkins, the opportunity to compete internationally is not only about the results on the court but also about gaining valuable experience and proudly representing Belize.
Meanwhile, Belize’s Under-21 Women’s National Volleyball Team has also achieved a historic milestone at the U21 Women’s Pan American Cup. The team closed out the tournament with a convincing 3–0 victory over the U.S. Virgin Islands, winning the sets 25-14, 25-16, and 25-18, to secure seventh place overall. The achievement marks the first time Belize has recorded two victories at a NORCECA Pan American Cup, reflecting the continued progress and growth of Belizean volleyball at the international level.
