Belize’s Under-23 male volleyball team is in Guatemala this week for the U-23 Pan American Cup, hosted by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA). The team is participating in Group B of the tournament and will be going up against Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. President of the Belize Volleyball Association, Allan Sharp, says that there is stiff competition in this tournament, but Team Belize has been preparing and is ready to face off against the best in the region.
The team arrived in Guatemala on Sunday. They left on the heels of the historic gold won by the U-23 women’s team in the Central American Cup last week.
