Belize and the United States are strengthening their partnership to preserve the ancient Maya site of Caracol. An agreement signed today will support the stabilization and conservation of archaeological structures, along with community engagement, through the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation. The project brings together NICH, the Institute of Archaeology and the U.S. Embassy to help safeguard Belize’s cultural heritage for future generations. Paul Diaz reports.
