Belizean Deportee Taken to Central Prison After Return From U.S.

Belizean national Lloyd Leavi Thompson was returned to the country today after reportedly being deported from the United States.  At around one o’clock this afternoon, the Love Newsroom received reports that Thompson arrived at the Philip Goldson International Airport on a flight from Dallas under police escort. He was subsequently transported to the Belize Central Prison, where he arrived at approximately three-forty-nine this afternoon for processing. A person bearing the same name was previously featured in a Crime Stoppers Belize wanted notice. That individual, described as being from the Corozal District, was wanted for questioning in connection with a police investigation. Love News has not yet independently confirmed whether the returning deportee is the same person named in that notice.  Authorities have not disclosed the reason for Thompson’s deportation or clarified why he was transported to prison.
