Forty professionals from various fields are undergoing a special digital skills training program being hosted by the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service, BELTRAIDE. The six-month Skill Up Digital Boot Camp, is a self-paced online training course that will see professionals go through a comprehensive curriculum developed and administered by the company “Belizing.” Sarita Bejerano, Manager of the Belize Training and Employment Centre (BTEC), a unit of BELTRAIDE, says that the training follows an assessment conducted to determine the digital skills needed in Belize. Angela Wu, General Manager of Belizing, says that the course is tailored to fit the schedules of working professionals and has additional support available.
The course is being supported by the Inter-American Development Bank, under the digital innovation project to boost economic development in Belize.
