Within hours of Jimmy Cliff’s passing on Monday November 24, his music experienced a massive global resurgence, shooting to the top of charts worldwide.

“The Best of Jimmy Cliff” has reached No. 1 on the Reggae Albums chart for the first time. The compilation, released by Universal Music under its Hip-O label on June 16, 2017, features twelve of Cliff’s timeless classics, several of which have also surged into the Top 10 of the U.S. Reggae iTunes chart for the first time.

Six of his tracks now appear simultaneously, including “I Can See Clearly Now,” “Many Rivers to Cross,” “You Can Get It If You Really Want,” “The Harder They Come,” “Wonderful World, Beautiful People,” “Shelter of Your Love,” and “Vietnam,” which sits just outside the Top 10.

Cliff now occupies four positions in the Top 10 on the U.S. Reggae iTunes Chart with his albums from the 70s and 80s—another posthumous career first—with “Wonderful World, Beautiful People,” “20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection – The Best of Jimmy Cliff,” “The Power and the Glory,” and “Follow My Mind” all climbing into prominent positions.

Cliff’s 1971 album also debuts at No. 14 and Music Maker (1974) sits at No. 20.
