Beyoncé’ Has Been A Billionaire Since 2018 Says Mathew Knowles — Forbes Makes It ‘Official’ In 2025

Beyoncé has officially joined the billionaire ranks — at least according to Forbes, which on December 29, 2025 announced that the global superstar has now crossed the ten-figure threshold, thanks largely to the record-breaking success of her Cowboy Carter era and the history-making 2025 tour that became the most successful country concert run ever.

The news comes with an interesting twist, though — because her father, Mathew Knowles, had already said this happened years ago. In a 2019 DJ Vlad interview, Knowles claimed Beyoncé had quietly been a billionaire since 2018, saying there’s “an official process” Forbes uses to verify wealth, and that Beyoncé was “certified” alongside billionaire investor Mark Cuban. “So that’s inaccurate,” he said of people doubting her financial status at the time. “Beyonce was verified a billionaire… She was verified in 2018.”

Still, Forbes is only now giving the formal stamp — crediting Beyoncé’s evolution from pop icon to business powerhouse. Her company Parkwood Entertainment controls most of her creative empire, while ventures in beauty, spirits and fashion added to massive touring and catalog earnings. Her pivot into country music didn’t just break genre barriers — it unlocked a new commercial lane, including a Christmas NFL halftime performance, a blockbuster tour, and huge brand partnerships.

Beyoncé now becomes only the fifth musician ever to be named a billionaire by Forbes, joining Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna — and strengthening her position as one of the most influential artists and entrepreneurs of her generation.
