The KPMG Squash League’s defending champion, Blown, blew away Boast Busters in straight sets after comprehensively beating them 3-0 at the Liguanea Club in their quarter final match-up.

Blown’s Andrew Bicknell was the first one to take to the court against Anthony Ayoub to cop the team’s first quarter-final win when the match ended 3-1 with scores of 21-13, 21-20, 13-21 and 21-19.

Captain Jake Mahfood then took on Rajeev Venugopal who did put up a challenge but was eventually beaten 3-0 after posting scores of 21-16, 23-21 and 21-17.

It was then left to Anthony Mahfood to close the deal, which he did by a 3-1 score line against Bobby Vaughn with scores of 21-17, 20-21, 21-19, 21-17.

Mahfood credits Bicknell with the team’s success.
